skin trouble

hey rws it's death row
i went to this site to download a cool skin for dod , http://www.fpsbanana.com/skins/download/11197.

The site tells me to save it into
D:\ProgramFiles\Steam\SteamApps\YourName\day of defeat source\dod\materials\models\player\american.

but it won't let me save it into d drive.

But i can save it into c drive but it doesn't work.
what should i do.

Is D: the drive where steam is located on your PC?

That's the path you should store it in. Find the steam folder on your drive (whereever you installed it) and you should be able to find this filepath.

E.g. that filepath for me would be: C:\ProgramFiles\Steam\SteamApps\dennycolin\day of defeat source\dod\materials\models\player\custom.

Dont worry about D: , Thats only if you have a D: drive and installed steam there.
Save yours in C:\ProgramFiles\Steam\SteamApps\YourName\day of defeat source\dod\materials\models\player\american.

Watch out about installing skins, some times they can also instal hacks. Installing as in running an *.exe. But fpsbanana.com is a safe site, although I have never encountered a skin installer.

Its impossbile for vac to pick up skin hax so if it happens to be you wont be banned only if it is a exe

I wasnt talking about skin hacks (if there is such a thing). Some skin exe's instal hacks (aimbot etc etc) to get you banned.
