He claimed that the cancellation had prevented people from putting money into the account and estimated HK2 million was involved.
He alleged the branch manager had misled him by saying the account would not be cancelled if he kept a minimum balance of HK$1.
"However, the manager did not reveal to me the sum of the financial charge on my account," he said.
